Classes
The classes from the original Phantasy Star Online return but with new designs. There are 3 different races and 3 different class types.

• Hunters = Hunters are primarily melee fighters. They are most effective fighting in close range of their target with weapons like swords, daggers, and spears. Human and Newman hunters can also use empowering techniques on teammates.
• Rangers = Rangers are primarily ranged attackers. They are most effective fighting at long range with various guns and heavy artillery, but can also make use of gunblades. Human rangers can also use de-powering techniques on targets.
• Forces = Forces excel at using techniques. Techniques are used to buff and heal teammates and debuff and damage enemies. Though all Humans and Newmans can use some techniques, only forces can use the light-based Grants and dark-based Megid and only forces can learn the higher-tier ranks of all techniques.

Mechanical Game
Featured in the game is "Visual Chat", a take on PictoChat where players communicate by drawing on the DS touchscreen. According to the February issue of Nintendo Power (Vol.238, page 38), "Up to 20 messages may be saved to shortcuts so they're accessible at any time via a quick tap of the touch screen". However, communication among unfamiliar users is limited to keyboard chat and premade images. The game contains three online modes: Free Mode, in which the player is randomly paired up with a party; Friend Mode, where the player can invite friends into a private room (and vice versa); and Single Mode, where the player can play online by himself to level up (similar to Phantasy Star Online's offline mode). Also, There is a full offline story mode as mentioned above.

Weapon

The game contains over 350 weapons, debuting two new weapon classes, Shields and Gunslashes. Shields are a blunt weapon that can be used to block an enemy attack at the cost of PP, and Gunslashes are a hybrid mix between a gun and a sword, allowing for long range and short range interchangeability.The long range shooting mode can be activated by holding the L shoulder button. In this mode attacking shoots a 3-way, unchainable shot
There is also a code input system where the player inputs a code and recieves prizes based on which code is entered. The game featured cameo weapons from games like Valkryia Chronicles, Zelda, Metroid, Mario, Hatsune Miku and a few others. However, due to licensing issues, some these weapons didn't make the cut in the american version and the when playing with japaneese players who have any of these weapons, they will look like a different weapon instead.

Sound
Nothing to impressive, but it was nice hearing some of vintage PSO sound effect still intact in Zero

Graphic
Unfortunately the visual are blurry mess that really does the game disservice. The city, characters and quest map just look out of focus with harddly detail to be found.

PS: This game can't be played in emulator NO$GBA, so you must play it in  DESMUME or IDEAS

Few Tips From Me to Catch Pokemon Legend Without Masterball

1. try to catch the legend that at midnight, why?
    we can use the dusk ball is very effective in caves and at night.

    I was caught kyurem in a state hp 1 and status normal, only wear 5 dusk ball  (^-^)

2. before the save against the legendary pokemon first, why?
    maybe we used to play when going to sleep and the time required to capture the legendary Pokemon that is not short, so very often encountered cases fell asleep while capturing legendary pokemon.

Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia Review

Story

The game follows the protagonist, a young Pokemon Ranger as they or they graduates from Ranger School & takes on the duties of a fully fledged Ranger. The male is called Kellyn (Hajime, in the Japanese version) & the female is called Kate (Hitomi in the Japanese version). Only Kellyn appears in the Pokemon anime.

Missions advance the story, which is centred around the antagonists Team Dim Sun (Team Yami Yami in the Japanese version) & their unknown intentions involving Pokemon mind-control machines called Gigaremos powered by dark crystals. Quests usually consist of the player travelling around the Almia region, performing varying tasks requested by citizens in exchange for rewards.

The game starts at the Ranger School, with the player enrolling as a student after expertly capturing a Pikachu. The player quickly makes friends with of classmates, Rhythmi who dreams of being an Operator, & Keith, a rival, who dreams of becoming a Top Ranger. After the player & Keith very discover what Mr. Kincaid, a teacher, is doing in the basement, Mr. Kincaid seals it off from all students. Both the player & Keith show strong potential as Rangers, & graduate with full honors after defeating Tangrowth at their graduation ceremony. The player stays in Almia, while Keith & Rhythmi go to Fiore as part of their training. The player's relatives moves in to a nearby town known as Chicole Village, & the player goes to live with them.

The next day, the player becomes an Area Ranger in the local village of Vientown. After recovering a Partner Pokemon at the beach, the player begins his/her first major mission by patrolling a nearby cave. The Pokemon inside the cave are unusually aggressive & resistant to capture by the ranger's styler. At the back of the cave, the player finds a unusual machine (later called a Gigaremo) that appears to be controlling the Pokemon. The rangers promptly damage the gizmo, freeing the Pokemon, & start researching its abilities. Subsequently, the rangers discover that the Gigaremos are being set up by Team Dim Sun, proposing wider criminal activities. The player travels to the Ranger Union, the headquarters of all ranger operations in Almia, to warn the rangers about the Gigaremo. On the way, the player sees Altru Inc., a powerful oil company that is building a immense tower in the midst of the Almia region


Gameplay

The game takes place in the Almia region. The player begins as a Pokemon ranger-in-training at the Ranger School and quickly graduates to a rookie Ranger and must advance from there. The player may pick their characters gender, but unlike in the original Pokemon Ranger, this choice does not affect their partner Pokemon.

Much of gameplay is similar to the original game. Players must capture/befriend wild Pokemon to aid them by circling them with their Nintendo DS stylus (known as a Capture Styler in the game).

There is a major change from the original capture process. In lieu of having to complete definite number of loops without lifting the stylus, the player must fill up a Pokemons Friendship Gauge by drawing loops around the Pokemon, but can lift the stylus to keep away from assaults. However, the power in Friendship Gauge will decrease over time if the player stops drawing loops for long. The amount of power in the gauge filled by each loop increases as the player levels up the styler.

Sound
the games' music scored by Junichi Masuda, Go Ichinose, Shota Kageyama, Hitomi Sato, Morikazu Aoki, Minako Adachi, and Satoshi Nohara. The soundtrack was released on October 20, 2010 in Japan. Go Ichinose was in charge of directing all Pokémon voices for the game while Minako Adachi produced all sound effects.
